SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won's wife Roh Soh-yeong sued Chey's affair partner for alimony.

Roh filed an alimony suit of 3 billion won ($2.3 million) against Chey's live-in girlfriend and the president of T&C Foundation, Kim Hee-young, at the Seoul Family Court on Monday, according to legal sources.

Chey had admitted to having an extramarital affair and a child out of wedlock in 2015 and began divorce proceedings against his wife in 2017, citing personality differences.

Roh originally refused the breakup, but filed a counter claim in 2019, demanding alimony of 300 million won and 42.29 percent of Chey's stake in SK Inc.

The first court approved the divorce and ordered the chairman to pay 66.5 billion won in property and an alimony of 100 million won in December. Both parties have appealed to the decision.
