Kospi surpasses 2,500 mark for first time in four months

The Kospi surpassed the 2,500 mark for the first time in four months.
 
The benchmark index rose to 2,516.88 points, up 26.47 points, or 1.06 percent, from the previous session's close as of 10:30 a.m. Monday.
 
The last time Kospi traded above 2,500 points was in Dec. 1 last year (2,501.43 points).
 
The Kosdaq rose to 882.35 points, up 2.28 points, or 0.26 percent, from the previous session's closs.
