Closing the door on fees

A door was installed on the open-refrigerated section of a convenience store in eastern Seoul on Tuesday. The store said it saved up to 63 percent in daily electricity fees compared to the same period a year earlier after installing the door last month. The government announced an increase in electricity rates for consumer and industrial use by 8 won ($0.01) per kilowatt hour for the second quarter on Monday.
