Jungkook will kickstart his solo career and his upcoming song "Seven" by opening for the 2023 Summer Concert Series at New York's Central Park.
The annual summer concert, organized by ABC talk show "Good Morning America," will take place on Friday.
Jungkook will start the event with his official solo debut track "Seven," the first time he has taken in the Summer Concert Series as a solo artist. His band BTS appeared at the event in 2019.
Meanwhile, BTS's book "Beyond the Story" hit bookstore shelves on Sunday in tandem with "ARMY Day," the date when the name of BTS's official fan club, ARMY, was announced in 2013.
The book was announced as part of last month's "2023 BTS Festa" celebrating the 10th debut anniversary of K-pop's biggest boy band on June 13.
The 500-page book traces the band's rise to the top, including their pre-debut years as trainees and their post-debut efforts to break into the big time.
Interviews with members during some of the controversies that followed, such as renewing their contracts or issues with some songs' lyrics, are also included in the book.
The book also includes interviews with band members on the band's past difficulties, including tough contract renewal talks and controversy over lyrics perceived to be offensive or disrespectful.
The book also includes 330 QR codes that link readers to videos and songs. It has been released in 23 languages.
