Wage rage

Union members of the Korea Confederation of Trade Unions, one of the country's two largest umbrella unions, hold a rally on Tuesday demanding a minimum wage increase for next year in front of the office building of the Ministry of Employment and Labor at the government complex in Sejong, where this year's 14th wage-setting meeting took place. The Minimum Wage Commission, a trilateral committee composed of representatives from labor and management sectors and the public, is expected to take a vote to decide on the amount of increase for next year's minimum wage as early as late Tuesday.
