K-pop girl group Le Sserafim ignited the grand beginning of its first-ever world tour, "Flame Rises," with a two-day performance at the Jamsil Indoor Stadium in Songpa District, southern Seoul, over the weekend. For a girl group that debuted just a year and three months ago, the concerts have attracted feverishly heated fans who were "fearless" of the scorching heat.

The two-day concert brought more than 5,000 fans of the group each day.

The concert on Sunday kicked off at 5 p.m. with Le Sserafim performing "The World Is My Oyster," the opening track from the group's debut album "Fearless" (2022). As the minute-long track came to an end, the five members — Sakura, Kim Chae-won, Huh Yun-jin, Kazuha and Hong Eun-chae — disappeared from the stage one after another as if they were doing a trust fall.

"Were you guys Surprised?" Kim, leader of the group, said. "Did you guys think we really fell off the stage? Don't worry. We are safe."

"This is only the beginning," she added. "We have way too much left to show you guys."

"At the end of the concert, we hope people start saying that Le Sserafim's concert is a must-see and that they have to see the members perform live." Huh said.

"We've prepared stages that are filled with the colors of Le Sserafim, so I hope you enjoy them," Hong added.

Le Sserafim is a group with its standout concept of being "fearless" and marching forward, paving its own roads. This is shown both by the group's name, an anagram of the words I'm Fearless, and the name of its official fandom, Fearnot — and the title of the world tour, "Flame Rises" too, is an anagram of the group's name.

The girl group performed "The Great Mermaid" in its entirety for the first time during the concert, during which the five members synchronized their choreography alongside 20 dancers, making a stage that made the members look like five mermaids on the beach. Stages also featured flame machines and fog frames, matching the tour's title, "Flame Rises."

Le Sserafim continued the stage with "Fearless," the title track of its debut album, followed by a rock-arranged version of "Blue Flame," which started with a matching guitar solo played by the team's lead vocalist Huh.

In between stages, the members were seen actively interacting with the audience, sometimes walking down the stage and around the first floor, reaching closer to the fans, and other times asking their fans to do audience waves with the girl group's light sticks.

"We have a lot of people in the stadium, and I think it's so touching that this many people, all with the same interest, can come together as one," Huh said.

A lot of the b-side tracks from the girl group's discography were performed, including "Sour Grapes" from its debut album, "Good Parts (when the quality is bad but I am)" and "The Hydra" from its second EP "Antifragile" (2022) and "Flash Forward," "Eve, Psyche & The Bluebeard's wife," "Fearnot (Between you, me and the lamppost)," "No Return (Into the Unknown)" and "Fire in the belly" from its first full-length album "Unforgiven" which dropped in May. It was the girl group's first time performing "Fire in the belly."

Le Sserafim also unveiled a brand new track, "We got so much," which featured powerful vocals from Huh and Kim, the two lead vocalists of the group.

"Don't you think our new song is a good one?" Kim said. "Every time we get to sing the song, we always say that we are happy to sing it."

"As the title 'We got so much' shows, we tried to unpack our gratitude towards the love and support that Fearnot sent us so far," Huh said. "I hope the lyrics relayed to your heart."

As the two-hour-long concert came to an end, members of the girl group shared their thoughts about the concert.

"Through our music, through the voices of the inner mind, we followed what we really wanted to do, and we are here today," Huh said.

"It's been blissful today, and I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who gifted us with an unforgettable memory."

"As time passes, I gather the thought that not only do I want to be a good artist, but I also want to be a good person," Kim said.

"I strive to be someone who can provide our members and Fearnots with good influences, and I will try every day to influence you guys positively," she added.

"You know, I want to see Fearnot 365 days every year, but we can't, and it hurts for me to not know when I can see you guys the next time, but I hope you guys realize that Fearnot is always our driving force," Sakura said.

With the Seoul leg of the world tour completed, Le Sserafim will drop its second Japanese single, "Unforgiven" on Aug. 23 and continue its world tour starting in Nagoya and Tokyo in Japan in late August, followed by performances in Osaka, Hong Kong, Indonesia and Thailand in October.
