Singer Hwasa will come back with a new solo album on Sept. 6, almost two years after she dropped her last solo single in 2021, her agency P Nation said Tuesday.
Hwasa debuted in 2014 as a member of girl group Mamamoo.
The teaser images released on Tuesday showed Hwasa posing around pink alphabet-shaped balloons. The name of the album has not been revealed yet.
Following her debut in 2014, Hwasa released her first solo single "twit" in 2019. "twit" and her first EP "Maria" all saw positive receptions from listeners, with "Maria" landing No. 1 on streaming service Genie's daily chart, No. 1 on Melon's real-time charts and scored 100 million streams according to Gaon Chart — now known as Circle Chart — in May 2021, less than a year after the release of the album.
Hwasa signed an exclusive contract with P Nation in July. P Nation is an entertainment agency established by singer and producer Psy.
