Leaders for peace
Hong Seok-hyun, Chairman of JoongAng Holdings, fifth from left, and other dignitaries pose at the international academic conference, “The World Leaders of Peace and Solidarity: Kim Dae-jung, Willy Brandt and Nelson Mandela,” held at the Plaza Hotel in downtown Seoul on Tuesday. The conference was held in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the birth of late Korean president Kim Dae-jung. Chairman Hong, former National Assembly Speaker Moon Hee-sang and former United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon delivered keynote addresses while Cambridge Professor Emeritus of Political Theory John Dunn presented a speech on peace and political leadership.
