YG Entertainment’s shares are slipping as the news hit on Thursday that only Rosé from the K-pop agency’s breadwinner girl group Blackpink renewed her contract.
The shares dropped 4.91 percent to 65,800 won at 12:11 p.m. ($49.25) Friday. On Thursday, the shares plummeted 13.28 percent to close at 69,200 won.
A Korean news outlet reported that only Rosé renewed her contract with YG while the other three members — Jennie, Lisa and Jisoo — are leaving the agency.
YG Entertainment said the company and the members are still “in discussion” over the matter.
The members will resume their activities as Blackpink in their respective agencies.
