ILY:1 to release new song in October

ILY:1 is gearing up to release a new song next month, the girl group's agency FC ENM said.

The new music comes just three months after the group's second EP "New Chapter" in July.

"[The members] are working hard on the new music, and it will be an opportunity for them to show how they are maturing together with music," the agency said in a press release Friday.

It added further details will be announced at a later date.

ILY:1, a fourth-generation girl group, debuted in April 2022 with members from Korea, Japan and Taiwan. Fourth-generation K-pop groups typically refer to those that debuted in or after 2019, including girl groups NewJeans, Le Sserafim and aespa.

The group dropped its first EP "A Dream of ILY:1" in January. Its "Twinkle, Twinkle" made the trending songs charts on global music streaming platforms, including Apple Music and Amazon Music.
