Composer Jung Da-eun has been booked without detention and referred to the prosecution on the charges of illegal drug use, the police said Tuesday.

Jung was under police investigation in relation to the drug use case involving actor Lee Sun-kyun.

The police allege Jung dealt and used marijuana.

Jung also underwent questioning on suspicion of using meth.

Jung made her first television appearance in 2009 and became a well-known figure because of her resemblance to movie stars. She has been acquainted with celebrities, including a singer who is also implicated in the case.

Jung was convicted of illegal drug use back in 2016 and 2021 and served prison terms.

The Incheon police are investigating a total of 10 people, including actor Lee Sun-kyun and K-pop star G-Dragon.

At the initial stage of the investigation, only five people were booked on suspicion of criminal charges.

Jung and a manager of the nightclub in Gangnam District, southern Seoul, where the police say Lee used drugs, were booked later.

As of Tuesday, a total of seven have been booked.

An Incheon court on Monday rejected an arrest warrant request for the doctor accused of supplying drugs to Lee and others through the nightclub’s manager.
