Korea sees summer-like heat
Families gathered at a fountain in Yeouido Hangang Park in western Seoul on Sunday, as the midday temperature in Seoul rose to an early summer-like high of 28 degrees Celsius (82 degrees Fahrenheit).
Last week's temperatures steadily rose from a high of 17 degrees Celsius on Monday and reached their peak on Sunday.
Nationwide temperatures next week are expected to fall to a high of 23 degrees Celsius on April 30, but will continue to rise to a high of 31 degrees Celsius on May 4.
