Lee Jung-hoo will be posted for MLB clubs on Tuesday, his current team Kiwoom Heroes said in an announcement on Monday.
The 30-day negotiating window for the 25-year-old left-hander is set to open on Dec. 5 at 8 a.m. ET, the Heroes said.
“We support the future of Lee Jung-hoo, who is qualified to post and takes on the challenge of heading to a bigger stage,” the Heroes said, according to News1.
Lee, the 2022 KBO MVP, made his KBO debut in 2017, playing all seven seasons with the Heroes.
He has a career .380 batting average with 65 home runs and 515 RBIs but comes off a 2023 season that was cut short by an ankle injury in July.
Still, the second-generation KBO legend is rumored to have piqued the interest of several MLB clubs, including the New York Mets.
