YouTube raised the prices of its Premium subscription service by nearly 43 percent — and up to 71.5 percent for some — in Korea, three years after its last price hike.

The video sharing platform said the monthly price will increase to 14,900 won ($11.3) from 10,450 won, a 42.6 percent increase.

The price change will be implemented for new users starting Friday.
