Angels' Nest will use S.Coups's donation to care for animals living in the shelter and pay for their medical expenses.
"We are sincerely thankful for S.Coups's benevolence," the shelter said. "Thanks to his warm support, the animals can spend a warm and healthy winter."
Angels' Nest is a private non-profit that shelters abandoned pets, sustained through donations and volunteer activities from individuals and organizations across various fields.
It started as a no-kill shelter and currently protects about 200 animals.
S.Coups has been known for his efforts to promote animal welfare.
In September, he donated 30 million won to the animal rescue organization WEACT to help save dogs from breeding farms.
He also donated 20 million won to Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association in February to aid recovery efforts after a huge earthquake hit Turkey and Syria.
S.Coups debuted as a member and the leader of boy band Seventeen under Pledis Entertainment in 2015 with the band's first EP "17 Carat."
