Younha uploaded a 40-minute-long video on YouTube titled "Younha 20th anniversary unpacked event 'Y,'" announcing her plans for the year 2024, with celebrities featured in the video introducing each project.
"Younha's songs have always been a part of my life and playlists," BTS's RM said in the video. "She is preparing for her 20th debut anniversary with the desire to [give a gift] to everyone who supported her."
Members of the hip-hop trio Epik High also starred in the video to share details about the album. They said the upcoming album, the singer's seventh full-length album, will be the second installment of her "Theory" trilogy of albums.
It will be her first full-length album in over two years since her last album, "End Theory," was released in November 2021. The new album's release date has not been set yet, but the singer provided a 30-second preview of three tracks from the album in the video.
Younha also plans to hold 20 concerts next year to mark her 20th anniversary.
She will hold six concerts during the first half of the year, followed by 14 during the latter half of the year, her agency C9 Entertainment said.
Younha will hold her first two at the KSPO Dome in Songpa District, southern Seoul on Feb. 3 and Feb. 4. The concerts will be titled "Twenty" and make her the sixth female solo artist to hold a concert at the dome.
More information about the tickets will become available on Friday at 2 p.m.
The group's general director, Yang Jun-bo, said the upcoming exhibition will showcase "the emotional side of Younha."
Other celebrities featured in the video included YouTubers Syuka and ITSub and Kim Sang-wook, an academic known for his appearances in science-related TV shows.
The singer also released a 20th-anniversary version of her 2006 hit "Waiting" on Friday at 12:01 a.m. to kick off her anniversary project series.
Younha first debuted in Japan in 2004 with her single "Yubikiri," followed by "Audition," her first Korean single album, in 2006. She is known for her tracks "Password 486" (2007), "Oort Cloud" (2021), "Waiting" (2006) and "Event Horizon" (2022).
