Stray KidsFelix donated 100 million won ($76,300) to the Korean Committee for Unicef to help Laotian children, becoming the youngest member of the Unicef Honors Club.

The donation was made in order to help Laotian children who are living in poor sanitation and nutritional environments, according to the Korean committee for Unicef.

“The donation was to return the love I have received,” Felix said in a news release. “I hope that the children in Laos, who are struggling with the lack of sanitized drinking water and nutrition, can grow in a safer environment this year.”

The singer also became the youngest member of the Unicef Honors Club, comprised of members whose accumulated donations to the organization surpass 100 million won. He is the first person to join the club in 2024.

Laos is currently contending with poor drinking water sanitation and nutritional conditions. Only 18 percent of its population currently has access to safe drinking water, and 33 percent of its infants are experiencing underdevelopment.

“We thank Felix’s warm donation for giving hope and courage to the children in Laos this new year,” Cho Mi-jin, secretary general of the Korean committee for Unicef, said in a news release.

The singer has a habit of philanthropy. He donated 50 million won to the nongovernmental organization World Vision following the earthquake that hit Turkey and Syria in February 2023.

Felix debuted as a member of boy band Stray Kids in 2017 under JYP Entertainment. The band consists of eight members: Bangchan, Leeknow, Changbin, Hyunjin, Han, Felix, Seungmin and I.N. The band's latest EP, “Rock-Star,” was released on Nov. 10.
