A T'way Air flight experienced a bird strike Wednesday while landing at Incheon International Airport.

According to the budget airliner on Thursday, a bird was sucked into one of the engines of the flight TW216, which was traveling from Narita International Airport in Tokyo, at 9:28 p.m.

T'way said that the plane carrying 122 passengers had to abort the landing following a loud noise and sparks emitted from one of the engines and had to initiate a go-around.

The aircraft safely landed on the runway in its second attempt at 9:41 p.m.

T'way said it will conduct a thorough inspection of the engine for safety.
