Nottingham Forest forward Hwang Ui-jo, who is accused of illegally filming sexual encounters without his partners’ knowledge, was booked for inflicting secondary damage on one of his victims.
The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency said Monday that one of Hwang's attorneys was also booked.
According to the police, Hwang and his attorney are accused of disclosing the personal details of one of the victims last November while Hwang’s team was denying the illegal misconduct.
Hwang attended another police investigation on Friday, two months after being questioned last November.
Hwang continued to insist that the sex tape was consensual.
According to the police, Hwang said the woman in the video did not refuse to be filmed, although she knew the camera was on.
In June, Hwang accused an internet user of leaking the sex tape and photo on Instagram.
Police detected circumstantial evidence that the video was taken without the partner’s consent and booked Hwang in November.
The video leaker was identified as Hwang’s sister-in-law. She was arrested in December and is now on trial.
The police plan to summon Hwang soon and continue the investigation.
