Korean police could call in football star Hwang Ui-jo for questioning over illegal sex tape allegations
The 31-year-old Norwich City forward and Korean national football team selection currently resides overseas.
The National Police Agency added that they are conducting digital forensics on four smartphones and a laptop computer owned by Hwang.
However, the police did not confirm earlier reports that Hwang had initialized his laptop.
Hwang is accused of filming sexual encounters with two women without their consent.
Last week, the lawyer of one of the victims shared with the press a phone conversation and text messages her client had with the footballer, arguing that they proved the recordings were made without her client's consent.
Hwang has denied accusations that the recordings were made without consent.
The footballer claims an organized crime group stole his phone to blackmail him.
The video was first leaked in June.
