Two hotels in Korea have been given the full five-star rating by the Forbes Travel Guide on Wednesday evening.
The Shilla Seoul in Jung District, central Seoul, and Four Seasons Hotel Seoul in Jongno District, central Seoul, are among the 340 hotels worldwide to which the American hotel guide has given its coveted five stars.
Shilla Seoul has gotten the same rating for six consecutive years. Four Seasons has gotten it for five consecutive years.
Forbes Travel Guide is a global rating platform for luxury hospitality, said to employ some 900 professionals to inspect their facilities and services. It ranks hotels, restaurants, spas and ocean cruises as Five-Star, Four-Star and Recommended.
Korea has been included in the guide since 2017.
Art Paradiso Boutique Hotel in Incheon, which re-opened last year, debuted on the guide’s list with a four-star rating. Describing it as “classic European elegance meets vibrant South Korean style,” the guide touted the hotel’s design, which combines contemporary pop art and modern fashion photography.
Other hotels in Korea that received four stars are Signiel Seoul in Songpa District, southern Seoul; The Westin Josun Seoul in Jung District; Conrad Seoul in Yeongdeungpo District, western Seoul; Paradise Hotel and Resort in Incheon and Park Hyatt Seoul in Gangnam District, southern Seoul.
The Four Seasons’ The Spa on the 10th floor has also been given four stars in the guide’s spa category. It has received the same rating for eight consecutive years.
