According to Statistics Korea, January’s price for public service rose 2.2 percent on year, the biggest leap in 27 months since October 2021, which recorded a 6.1 percent rise.
 
Bus fares had the highest on-month contribution to inflation, followed by fees for taxis, outpatient medical treatment, subways, dentistry, hospitalization and sewage.
