Power failure on subway line No.3 delays morning commute
Due to the power failure, trains bound for Seoul experienced delays, as only one track is currently operating from Daehwa Station to Jichuk Station.
Trains bound for Daehwa started operating again at 10:10 a.m. Previously, all trains were put to a halt between Daehwa Station and Gubapal Station due to the power outage.
Korail said that they are working to restore the power as quickly as possible, but it may take some time to recover from its normal state.
Commuters were advised to use buses and other commuting transportation.
“Measures are being taken by increasing the number of buses and mobilizing shuttle buses,” a Goyang official said.
Currently, all stations on line No.3 are running again after temporary restoration, according to Seoul Metro.
