Mario Pascucci, the CEO of Italian coffeehouse chain Caffè Pascucci, is set to visit Korea this week.

Discussions will be held between Pascucci's CEO and SPC Group chairman Hur Young-in to explore avenues of business collaboration between the two entities, both within Korea and Italy, according to the Korean bakery giant on Tuesday. SPC Group operates and manages Caffè Pascucci outlets, among others, across Korea.

The agenda for the talks will emphasize strategies aimed at facilitating the Paris Baguette operator's expansion into the Italian and broader European markets, leveraging the partnership of SPC Group, which previously contributed to Pascucci's successful entry into the Korean market, the company explained.

A high-profile meeting will take place on March 23, attended by the two heads and key officials including Emilia Gatto, the Italian ambassador to Korea, and Ferdinando Gueli, the Italian trade commissioner in Korea.

"Pascucci has been a crucial global partner of us for 22 years," an SPC official said. "Through this meeting, we aim to explore diverse business opportunities."
