Dragon Pony prepares to gallop into the boy band limelight

Dragon Pony will be the first boy band to debut under Antenna, a label that is home to many singers and songwriters like Kwon Jin-ah, Lee Jin-ah and Lee Hyo-ri as well as Kyuhyun of boy band Super Junior and Mijoo of girl group Lovelyz.

Dragon Pony is in preparations to debut sometime this year, Antenna said in a press release Tuesday.

“As inferred by the band’s name, the band consists of members who were born with zodiac signs dragon and horse," the agency said. “The name was made by the members themselves and it is an identity that tightly binds them together.”

Dragon Pony consists of lead vocal Ahn Tae-gyu, bassist Pyun Sung-hyun, guitarist Kwon Se-hyuk and drummer Ko Gang-hun. The members’ profiles were first revealed on the band’s social media page on Monday.

“All four members excel in music and lyric composition and music production,” Antenna said, adding that the members have been creating music and training for their debut for two years.

Further details about Dragon Pony's activities will be revealed through the band's social media.

Antenna is a music and entertainment agency founded by singer-songwriter You Hee-yul. It was fully incorporated as a subsidiary under Kakao Entertainment in August 2021.
