A live bullet was discovered in a Korean Air aircraft at Incheon International Airport on Sunday.

According to the airport's security officials, a cleaner found a 9-millimeter (0.35-inch) hunting bullet underneath a passenger seat inside a Korean Air Boeing 787-9 scheduled to depart for Milan, Italy.

The police combed through the aircraft but did not find any other weapons or hazardous items.

The authorities are currently looking into how the bullet made its way into the aircraft based on the seating chart and passenger list.

The aircraft landed at Incheon International Airport at dawn on Sunday after departing from Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi Airport.

Due to safety measures, the flight experienced a delay of an hour and 30 minutes.

The plane bound for Milan took off from Incheon International Airport at 1:43 p.m. on Sunday.
