Korean Air is set to launch scheduled flights to Lisbon, providing direct connectivity between Incheon and Portugal’s capital, the company said in a press release on Friday.

Commencing from Sep. 11 to Oct. 25, the airline will operate three weekly flights on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, totaling 20 round trips during this period. Passengers will be served by Korean Air’s Boeing 787-9 fleet.

Previously, travelers had to navigate transfers in neighboring countries such as France and Spain for land transport to Lisbon upon reaching Europe.

Lisbon, a popular destination for both leisure seekers and cultural explorers, offers historical and contemporary attractions, including beaches and multiple Unesco World Heritage sites.

Additionally, visiting the Jeronimos Monastery in the Belem district is highly recommended for travelers eager to delve into local culture. Beyond Lisbon, the city of Porto is easily accessible by train.

Tickets for Korean Air’s scheduled charter flights to Lisbon are now available for purchase on the airline’s official website, mobile app or through authorized travel agencies. Korean Air also plans to extend the operations of the route into the winter season.
