University competition show 'Elite League' opens applications for new season

The Coupang Play show "Elite League," which premiered in 2023, is now accepting applications from students that wish to represent their university in the second season of the intellectual competition.

Coupang Play announced Wednesday it will accept applications from students who wish to star on the show until July 5. The filming is set to take place between July and August.

Applications are open to students attending five universities: Seoul National University, Korea University, Yonsei University, KAIST and Pohang University of Science and Technology.

Those that wish to apply can send an email to brainelite@naver.com to get the application form.

Elite League selects students at Korea's top universities to go against each other in challenges that test their intelligence, aiming to find which university is the smartest of them all. During the first season, a team of Harvard University students joined the competition midway.

Seoul National University won the title of the smartest university in the first season, with Korea University becoming the runner-up.
