While South Korea is saddened by the tragic deaths of soldiers for suspicious reasons, its military is defenseless against North Korea’s dispatch of balloons carrying trash and excrement across the border to the South. Kim Yo-jong, North Korean leader Kim Jong-un’s sister, called the balloons “sincere presents” to the “goblins of liberal democracy” who cry for freedom of speech. [PARK YONG-SEOK]
