Korean game publisher Krafton will present its new game lineup including its highly anticipated Dark and Darker Mobile at the upcoming Gamescom 2024 global gaming show next month.

Gamescom is one of the three largest gaming exhibitions in the world, alongside E3 and the Tokyo Game Show. This year’s event will take place in Cologne, Germany, from Aug. 21 to 25.

The role-playing game Dark and Darker Mobile is set in a medieval low-fantasy universe in which the core gameplay is centered on dungeon escape.

Developed by Krafton’s Bluehole Studio, the game publisher acquired global rights last August to develop and publish a mobile adaptation of the massively multiplayer online (MMO) game Dark and Darker, developed by another game company, Ironmace.

The RPG is set to launch a global beta test early August in key markets including the United States, Japan and Turkey.

Another title, inZOI, is a life simulation game where the player takes on the role of the creator to fabricate anything they desire in the game universe while engaging in different stories. Every character acts of their own free will, allowing events like sickness, trends and gossip to occur, giving players a realistic immersive experience in the world they created.

Both of the titles are scheduled for official release later this year.

Krafton’s iconic battle royale shooter PUBG: Battlegrounds will also introduce new content for users to try out firsthand, in line with the seventh anniversary of the game’s release. Since its Steam release in 2017, it has achieved remarkable milestones, including a daily peak of 760,000 concurrent users on the platform on March 23, the day marking the game’s seven-year anniversary. The number even surpassed the figure during its transition to free-to-play in 2022.
