Samsung SDI holds recruiting event in Boston

Samsung SDI, the battery-making arm of Samsung Electronics, held a recruiting event for advanced degree holders in Boston on Saturday.

The company invited some 90 professionals with master's or doctorate degrees to its Tech & Career Forum held at Hyatt Regency Cambridge Hotel in Boston on Saturday with its CEO Choi Yoon-ho in attendance.

Boston is where Samsung SDI's first U.S. research center, the SDI R&D America, is located. The center is dedicated to developing next-generation technology for batteries.

Choi emphasized the importance of achieving a sustainable and environmentally friendly society through technology innovation while other executives held talks about industry trends as well as the company's commitment to all sizes of batteries, their materials and research.

“Talent is the most important requisite in securing ‘super-gap’ technological competitiveness," Choi said at the event. “Join us in creating Samsung SDI’s future as a global top-tier company by 2030.”

Samsung SDI will hold the Tech & Career Forum in Europe in October.
