Chinese fans of BTS’s Jungkook will set up advertisement billboards as part of their "2024 Jungkook Birthday Project” in Olive Young stores across the country to celebrate the singer’s Sept. 1 birthday.

According to the singer's fan club “Jungkook China” on X, over 2,400 advertisements will be placed across over 1,300 branches of the cosmetic brand starting Thursday until Sept. 4. A billboard over six meters (19.6 feet) tall will be stationed at the Gangnam main branch, in southern Seoul.

The fan club has organized a similar event last year for Jungkook as well, when it propped up a sculpture depicting purple flowers in Yeouido, western Seoul, and put up advertisements in various locations across Seoul.

Jungkook’s advertisement billboards by TSX Entertainment were also put up in New York City's Times Square last year, separate from the Chinese fan club's project. One of the advertisements was featured in the trailer released on Tuesday for the upcoming documentary film “Jung Kook: I Am Still.” The documentary will detail the singer’s solo music career and will be released in theaters across approximately 120 countries on Sept. 18.
