Boy band Stray Kids' ninth EP "ATE" was the No. 4 best-selling album in the United States and also the best-selling K-pop album in the country as of Sept. 30, according to the band's agency JYP Entertainment.
"ATE," released on July 19, sold the fourth-highest number of albums this year following "The Tortured Poets Department" by Taylor Swift, "Days Before Rodeo" by Travis Scott and "Hit Me Hard and Soft" by Billie Eilish, according to the agency on Saturday. JYP Entertainment did not reveal specific figures.
"ATE" topped the Billboard 200 albums chart on the week of Aug. 3 and became the first band in the world to have five consecutive albums take the No. 1 place on the same chart.
Stray Kids is set to take perform at the American Music Awards 50th Anniversary Special ceremony on Sunday along with pop stars Mariah Carey, Green Day, Brad Paisley, Chaka Khan and more.
The band will then continue with its "dominATE" world tour with performances in Australia followed by Taiwan, Japan, the Philippines and more. Dates and stops for concerts in the Latin and North Americas and Europe will be added soon, according to JYP Entertainment.
