"Reform Policy Good, Unemployment Bad"

In an opinion poll about Kim Dae Jung's Administration, recently conducted by JoongAng Ilbo to celebrate its 33rd anniversary on September 22, 'reform policy' was deemed good but 'unemployment countermeasures' were judged bad. Regarding the current reform policies 38.7% of those surveyed answered 'good' and a 17.3% 'bad'.
The 'Financial sector' was selected as the best reformed by 38.6%, followed by 'education' (25.3%), 'administration' (17.2%), 'political sector' (16.8%), 'news media' (15.9%), 'chaebols' (15.7%), 'judiciary' (10.6%), 'military' (9.9%), and the 'prosecutor's office and the police' (6.0%).
In the overall evaluation of the administration, 46.5% answered 'good', 42.1% 'normal', and 11.5% 'not good'.
The result was broken down by regions. 76.5% in Honam region, 52.9% in ChungChong province, 50.4% in Seoul answered 'good' respectively, but in the Kyunggi, Kyungnam, Kyungbuk, and Kangwon province, only a 45.8%, 33.2%, 31.2%, and 31.0% answered 'good' respectively.
