Citizenship for Japanese-Koreans

Endowment of citizenship for Koreans living in Japan will be given, the ruling National Congress for New Politics(NCNP)commented on September 30.
It is for the unification of all Japanese-Koreans divided by two major fronts: a pro North Korean faction and a South Korean one.
The Korean government is considering giving them passports and visas as well as the re-arrangement of their census register.
NCNP's Namgoong Jin said, 'We have listened to their pleas for a long time and it was clear that the Japanese-Koreans wanted to settle their record remaining in Korea.'
If executed, this will lead to the rendering of Korean citizenship, which has been pending for 50 years since the division of the Korean peninsula.
