Political Messup Worsens

The political standoff between the ruling National Congress for New Politics(NCNP)and the opposition Grand National Party(GNP) is worsening even after the Chusok holiday is over.
The issues surrounding the Panmunjom Shooting Plot in which GNP members secretly asked North Korea to instigate a shootout with the South to garner conservative votes in last year's presidential election have fanned the flames of the intense partisan conflict. The Agency of National Security Planning's torture schemes ingnited the conflict and both sides have imputed the responsibility on the other.
The NCNP maintained that if the opposition side keeps ignoring the National Assembly stage, they will one-sidedly open the session and manage the current standing committee from October 7.
The public prosecutor's office will summon Lee Hoi Sung, younger brother of GNP president Lee Hoi Chang, in connection to the shooting plot.
