Actress Lee Seung Yon Begins Social Service

'Sister Maria, please come here and change a diaper.'
Actress Lee Seung Yon(30,photo), who was caught obtaining an illegal driver liscense and sentenced to 80 hours of public service, started her work on November 2 at 'Raphael's House' a facility for the disabled in Kwanhoon-dong run by a Catholic welfare center.
She arrived there early in the morning under the escort of her manager and received the daily schedule.
She appeared far more humble than the petulant manner displayed in court during her trial, and commenced cooking and cleaning and doing laundry.
Lee commented, 'I always wanted to serve as a volunteer, but under ordinary circumstances I would not have had the time due to my busy schedule. This can be a good opportunity no matter what the motives are all about.'
The court, in an unusual move, dispatched 3 delegates to watch her activity because she is a renowned celebrity in the entertainment world.
Lee will serve for a week in Kwanhoon-dong and move to Samgkye-dong next week to fulfil her court-ordered requirements.
