Thief Reveals List of Victims and Stolen Articles
An accomplished thief has revealed that while he admittedly broke into celebrities' homes among other targets, the police tried to have him retract his testimony even torturing him.Kim Kang Yong(32) who currently resides in Inchon Prison, sent a letter to the opposition Grand National Party(GNP) and asserted that he had taken hundreds of thousands of dollars in cash and other possessions from various dignitaries' places.
In his statement, current North Cholla Province governor, Yoo Jong Kun, reportedly was robbed of 120,000 dollars in cash, and Bae Kyong Hwan, chief of Anyang police, was stung for 47,500 dollars in cash.
However, the purported victims are disclaiming the criminal's remark, stating it is an exaggeration not based on any evidence.
GNP spokesperson Ahn Taek Soo announced, 'It is shocking that the police would try to persuade the suspect from confessing instead of requiring the officials to elucidate why so much money was there.'
In contrast, the ruling National Congress for New Politics countered by saying, 'The opposition is only repeating an ex-convict's one-sided unsubstantiated statement to harm politicians reputations.'
