Yakult Reward"s Dutiful Son"s Sacrifice

Hankuk Yakult announced on April 29 that it will secure employment for a student who used his tuition for his ailing father's operation and gave up entering Korea University.
Oh Kang Min's father was suffering from a liver condition, hepatocirrhosis, that needed immediate surgery. Not only did his son sacrifice his education but part of his own liver was transplanted to his father.
Hankuk Yakult said that it will hire the son and the 'Helping Hand Movement' of the firm announced it will pay his educational expenses for four years of universtiy as well as the 10 million won paid for his father's operation.
The 24-year-old inter-company charity foundation has 1,700 members who all donate 1 percent of their salary.
Prior to the companies announcement, Korea University stated on April 28 that it will accept O Kang Min if he applies next year as a special entrance selection, taking into consideration that he could not enter college this year because he had used his tuition money for his father's medical expenses.
