Chong Wa Dae Seeks to Exterminate Corruption

The Chong Wa Dae (Blue House) has determined to eradicate the corruption of leaders in Korean society, taking as an example the recent bribery scandal involving Kyonggi Province governor Lim Chang-yuel and his wife.
Chong Wa Dae spokesman Park Jun-young said that the Blue House will throughly uproot corruption, as its presence can determine the rise and fall of a country, adding that he was greatly appalled by the bribery scandal.
He pointed out that Korea will face another serious crisis like the recent foreign exchange crisis unless it exterminates depravities of social leaders.
Mr. Park stressed that President Kim's adminstration will make efforts to root out institutional corruption.
He also emphasized that prosecutors have been investigating the bribery scandal without any outside pressures.
