First APEC Youth Camp To be Held in Ulsan Next Year
The first youth camp to be hosted by the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) will be held in Ulsan in September next year.The Ministry of Labor announced on Wednesday that its Deputy Minister Kim Sang-nam released the camp schedule at the third APEC Senior Human Resources Development (HRD) Officials' Meetings, held in Washington DC, U.S. on July 27 and 28.
The APEC Youth Camp, which aims to promote the international exchange of teenagers, was proposed by the Korean Government at the second round of APEC Senior HRD Officials Meetings, held in Seoul in 1997.
