Special Prosecutors in Action
Two independent councils or special prosecutors, Kang Won-il (investigating the Minting Corporation's 'labor union taming plot') and Choi Byong-mo (investigating the 'dress scandal' involving dignitaries' wives) Friday began their pursuit of the truth in the affairs.The Ministry of Justice gave the 2 prosecutors permission to use 2 office rooms in the Kangnam district, southern Seoul, for 2 months for the investigation.
Kang and Choi will be assisted by up to 25 personnel in their researches.
They will start requesting relevant materials and witnesses from October 19.
