Army Chief of Staff Gen. Kim Dong-shin Hints at Resignation
Army Chief of Staff General Kim Dong-shin is apparently hinting at handing his resignation to the minister of National Defence, Cho Seong-tae.According to a military source on October 18, Gen. Kim made the decision to provide opportunities to others during military reshuffling which is scheduled for the end of October, signaling his departure.
Prior to Gen. Kim's decision, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Kim Jin-ho, had been showing his desire to resign.
Any reshuffling of generals will be released on October 26 after the resolution of the Cabinet council.
