Lachlan Winner, co-founder and co-owner of Reebok CrossFit Sentinel, and Hong Jung-gi, Kookmin University professor of sports training, signed an agreement at the university campus on Thursday to provide the training services.
Hong, who was formerly a trainer for Korean professional basketball teams, will educate the Sentinel’s trainers on what he calls “functional training,” which focuses on body movement patterns and joint movements. The training will help the instructors customize the fitness routines for each individual client.
As part of the private sector and academic cooperation between Reebok CrossFit Sentinel and Kookmin University, a clinic offering tips and strategies will be held for two hours starting at 3 p.m. on April 12 at the Reebok CrossFit Sentinel box at IFC, Yeouido, southwestern Seoul.
The clinic is available to anyone working in CrossFit and Sentinel members. The clinic will also feature former Olympic weight lifting champions to demonstrate some of the key tips.
