Diplomat of Spain, 41, dies

A Spanish diplomat in Seoul died of a heart attack at his home here Tuesday morning, the Spanish Embassy said.

Roman Escohotado, 41, had been serving as deputy head of mission and was living in Seoul with his wife and son since August, an embassy official said. He had not been suffering from any illness. Escohotado served in posts in El Salvador and the Dominican Republic before being assigned to Seoul, the official added. His funeral will be held at 6 p.m. today at the International Catholic Church in Hannam-dong.
