Hallyu actor Lee Byung-hun has successfully kick-started his tour of Japan

Lee Byung-hun’s agency, BH Entertainment, stated on Dec. 21 that the Korean actor has successfully launched the first of his three-leg fan meeting series in Japan. The series “2011 Lee Byung-hun on Stage” began on Dec. 20 at Yokohama Arena, and two more meetings will take place in the city before the tour moves on to Fukuoka and Osaka. During the meetings, Lee may perform or answer questions from fans, and a total of six will take place before the tour wraps up on Dec. 27.

The Dec. 20 fan meeting led by the 41-year-old star was his first in over three years in Japan, where the male actor is immensely popular. Lee’s agency revealed that the entertainer oversaw the planning of and developed the content for the tour.

Meanwhile, the Japanese agency hosting the event said, “Currently, Japan is crazy about all things to do with K-pop. Lee’s status as a leader of Hallyu was again proven by his fan meeting.” Lee will greet some 60,000 people in the fan meeting events.

Early next year, the star will return to the big screen in the movies, “I am the King of Joseon” and the internationally acclaimed blockbuster “G.I. Joe 2: Retaliation.”
