Brown Eyed Girls’ Ga-in to work on solo album

Ga-in, a singer from the girl group Brown Eyed Girls, has signed a record deal as a solo artist with Loen Entertainment. Loen is a well-known music distributor which also has stars like singer IU under its management.

On Dec. 21, Loen Entertainment told local media that it had signed a contract with the singer’s current agency, NegaNetwork Entertainment, and is preparing for the launch of Gain’s debut solo album.

“NegaNetwork will maintain its role as the star’s agency, while we will be responsible for the record. The singer has no reason to move to a different agency, and we are working under an amicable partnership,” a representative from Loen said.

Meanwhile, NegaNetwork Entertainment affirmed the alliance by saying, “Gain’s solo album will be taken care of by Loen. Despite her solo efforts, she will remain in the band and continue on with band commitments.”

Brown Eyed Girls released its fourth official album “Sixth Sense” in September, which was well received by fans. The band made its debut in 2006, and the group’s song “Abracadabra” became one of the biggest K-pop hits in 2009. Ga-in also rose to fame on her own by appearing in the reality show “We Got Married” with 2AM member Jo Kwon in 2009.
