Kim Bum-soo to perform for U.S fans
Singer Kim Bum-soo confirmed through his agency that he plans to hold concerts in the United States next year.Although no official dates have been announced so far, Polaris Entertainment told local media that the singer will kick off his American tour with a performance at Los Angeles’ Nokia Theater.
“First, we will plan a concert in Los Angeles and if possible take it to two or three cities in the United States,” a representative from Polaris told local media.
As a first for a Korean singer, Kim released an English single called “Once Upon a Day” in the latter part of this year. It reached the 51 spot on the Billboard Hot Sales Singles Chart.
Kim made his debut in 1999 with the album “A Promise.” Although previously well received by fans, Kim’s popularity went to another level this year when he participated in the prime time singing reality show “I Am a Singer” on the MBC channel.
The singer who jokes about being a “visual singer” is currently touring domestically with fellow singer Lee Sora. The tour will wrap up in Busan on Saturday.
