Hallyu actors Song Seung-hun and Kim Tae-hee touched down in Hanoi in Vietnam on Jan. 6 to attend a promotional event for their MBC drama “My Princess” as well as a fundraising event to help out disadvantaged children.

On the day of the stars’ arrival they attended a promotional event for the drama they acted in, which will begin airing in Vietnam on Jan. 17 on the nation’s SCTV channel. For two days, the two entertainers attended various press conferences and fan meetings in a bid to promote the television program.

On Jan. 7 the two took part in a fundraiser event at the National Convention Center in Hanoi attended by 200 VIP guests and 100 fans of whom many will be the children the fund was raised for. VIP guests forked over between $80 to $100 for the privilege of attending the event where Song and Kim auctioned off various outfits they wore on the soap opera.

According to a representative from the celebrities’ agencies, all proceeds from the ticket sales and auctioned items were delivered to the National Fund for Vietnam Children organization. “My Princess” aired in Korea January 2011 and the cast members of the show held a Christmas concert for their Japanese fans in Tokyo on Dec. 17.
