Members of ZE:A to go on a Brazilian date

Kevin and Dong-jun from the boy band ZE:A got on a plane bound for Brazil on Jan. 17. The two members of the group will be in Brazil to take part in the “Star Date with ZE:A in Brazil” fan meeting. The event, hosted by Arirang TV, aims to pick two South American fans and send them on a trip around Brazil with the boy band members.

“We are so excited to be able to increase awareness of K-pop and to meet our fans in Brazil. We can’t believe this is happening and we are so much looking forward to the trip,” said the two group members.

The program will air in March as a three-part show on Arirang TV and will be broadcast in some 188 nations worldwide. It aims to examine the Korean Wave in South America while facilitating a cultural exchange between Korea and Brazil.

It appears more and more K-pop fans are emerging in South America. On Dec. 13, K-pop groups 4Minute, Beast and G.Na performed at the “United Cube Concert” in Sao Paulo, Brazil, in front of a packed house at the Espaco das Americas.
